Ok, so I was reading up on norse mythology (as you do) and there is this epic poem called Voluspå, which most of it is based on. After explaining who Odin and Thor are, it names all the dwarves who were helping them out. And, guys, LOOK AT THIS!
THEY’RE ALL HERE! EVEN GALDALF IS, ACCORDING TO A 1000 YEAR OLD LEGEND, A DWARF! WHO WERE CHILLING OUT WITH THOR AND ODIN!
And just to top it off, the last one, Eikinskjald, translates into ‘oakenshield’.
That is all. Now I shall spend the rest of time imagining Thor and Thorin arm wrestling and getting drunk in Valhalla.
ALSO
Fundin - father of Balin and Dwalin
Nali, Frar, Loni - listed in the Book of Mazarbul as killed in Moria
Nain - Dain’s dad
Dain - Obvs.
Nar - in the Appendices, listed as Thror’s great friend, who followed him into Moria.
